Nunsense, Shawnee Playhouse

Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia Child of God. Thus, the remaining nuns - ballet-loving Sister Leo, street-wise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert - stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed. With catchy songs and irreverent comedy, Nunsense is sure to keep audiences rolling with laughter. Buffet lunch at the Shawnee Inn.

Experience wonder as illusionist Brett Myers takes audiences to a larger-than-life circus, the whimsy of Wonka, the glamour of Hollywood, and the curiosities of a Steampunk era. Your eyes will witness the impossible as people appear, disappear, and fly. All ages enjoy the wonder of this new show infused with grand-scale illusions, comedy, and variety arts. Imaginarium was awarded The Merlin Award by The International Magicians' Society as the 2021 Best Magic and Variety Show. Buffet Lunch provided at the venue prior to the show.
